Prof. Lisa Bucher
Prof. Lisa Bucher studied illustration and communication design at HAW Hamburg. She then worked as an editor for infographics and illustration at the Financial Times Deutschland, as an editorial designer at a Hamburg advertising agency, and as an infographic designer and illustrator primarily responsible for the weekend edition of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. She particularly enjoyed working here with the Süddeutsche Zeitung's investigative team on projects such as the Panama Papers, the Paradise Papers and the Implant Files. In 2019, she was then appointed to FH Potsdam, where she has been teaching in the communication design program ever since. Her work has won numerous awards, including from the Art Directors Club, the German Designer Club, and the European Newspaper Award.

An infographic never tells the only truth, but is always a selection that reduces, interprets and abstracts.
The makers of infographics must be aware of this responsibility and, on the other hand, the viewers must reflect carefully.
